The Pride Library, nestled within the D.B. Weldon Library (Weldon), stands as a symbol of inclusivity and acceptance, extending its welcome not only to the academic community within Western University but also to visitors from outside its gates. This library holds a treasure trove of knowledge and resources. Its extensive collection includes an array of materials, comprising books, periodicals, videos, slides, and CDs, totaling over 5,500 titles. This diverse collection speaks volumes about the commitment of the university to fostering an environment of diversity and openness.
Transforming the Weldon Pride Library with Custom Window Film
The Director of the Weldon Pride Library, Professor James Miller, had a clear vision for the project. He wanted to create a visual representation of inclusivity, diversity, and the LGBTQ+ community’s vibrancy. The design had to be both impactful and respectful of the library’s status as an academic institution. It needed to convey the essence of the Weldon Pride Library without being overwhelming or obtrusive.

To encompass the spirit of the space, Miller designed a welcoming, double rainbow effect for the glass. This project shows how we can facilitate our client’s clear vision of a design come to fruition.
