Feather Friendly Window Film Cleaning Instructions 

Pre-Installation Care 

Prior to installing the Feather Friendly film, the Window Film Systems team will ensure all windows and frames have been thoroughly cleaned. We recommend using razor cleaning as needed to ensure the removal of all dirt, dust, and foreign matter. Following this pre-installation cleaning process is essential to facilitate proper adhesion of markers.  

Post-Installation Care 

At completion of installation, it is highly advised to refrain from cleaning for a period of 30 days. This temporary avoidance of cleaning activities is crucial for allowing the newly installed elements to settle and adhere effectively. Cleaning too soon may harm the long-term durability and stability of the newly implemented features. Patience during this phase is key to maximizing the effectiveness and longevity of the window film. 

Feather Friendly Window Film Product Care 

Over time, dust, dirt, and grime can accumulate, diminishing the film’s effectiveness. For optimal results, it is recommended that you clean your protected windows with common window cleaning solutions, such as detergent and water. Using a soft cloth, synthetic sponge, or soft rubber squeegee will ensure that you don’t scratch or damage the window film while cleaning it.  

Cleaning Techniques to Avoid 

When maintaining the Feather Friendly window film, avoid using excessive pressure during cleaning. Employing aggressive cleaning tactics can compromise the integrity of the film. Furthermore, it is not advisable to use power washing for cleaning purposes.
